Gardening 101

So today was a big day in the Pastor household. We started our first garden (in pots the only way to do it in NYC). Pat and I both did some research online as where to even begin. Luckily, it was quite simple (I'm saying that now, let's see if they grow!). We went to Home Depot, our closest garden supply store, and had a ball looking at all the different pots, soils, fertilizers, and plants. We decided to plant sweet basil, mint, and three different kinds of tomatoes. We are tomato lovers! I'm pretty excited to see the plants grow, but above all to eat them! I have a before and after picture below.
